Nothing is worse than betrayal. A stranger cannot betray you. Only those close to you or your very community/tribe can betray you. Very few things are as painful as betrayal. Yet Jesus was a picture of inner peace and calm in the midst of his betrayal. His betrayers fell back. His followers ran away. Yet he was calm. How do we respond to the pain of betrayal and the sometimes-threatening chaos that surrounds us?
