Theme: Jesus is the LIGHT of the World, the nature of Jesus (he said outrageous things about himself).
Are those things he said about himself TRUE? (I AM the Living Water, Bread of Life, Gate/Door, Light of the World, True Vine, Resurrection and the Life, Good Shepherd, Way-Truth-Life….)
He was either:
- A liar (Knew he wasn’t but said he was)
- A lunatic (Thought he was but he wasn’t)
- The Lord (Exactly who he said he was).
I will establish that only LORD makes any sense. So that is the “WHAT” of the passage.
But what is the SO WHAT? Once we establish that Jesus is Lord, what difference does that make in our daily lives?
